Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some answers to the questions we get asked most often...

Q: How long does the work take?

A: That depends on several things, including the size of the room and the condition of the floor or the size of the sofas or chairs. As a rough guide, a single bedroom carpet usually takes around 30 minutes and a lounge suite about an hour.

Q: How many operatives will come?

A: Normally a single operative will come and they will bring all the necessary equipment and detergents to do the work on-site. You should always ask for ID.

Q: Do you take the carpet or furniture away?

A: No, the operative will bring all the tools, equipment and cleaning materials with them and will carry out the work in-situ. This is by far the most efficient method of working.

Q: How long does it take for the carpet to dry out?

A: We use portable air movers as we work, ensuring that carpets dry quicker and we also ensure that they are never left soaking by doing pure dry vacuum extractions after a combined rotary wet and dry. Normal drying time is from 4 to 6 hours but with our "Quick Dry" process drying times can be reduced by as much as 50%.

Q: What are your working hours?

A: We offer our services 7 days a week and we can even arrange special appointments, if necessary, during the evening, holidays or overnight deep cleans on empty properties, etc. Our goal is to provide you with a professional cleaning service tailored for when you need it.

Q: Can the operative move the furniture around?

A: Small items such as a coffee table or a chair or two are no problem – our operative will be happy to help if it’s something minor. But when it comes to heavy furniture, you should clear the room in advance of our arrival.

Q: What types of flooring and upholstery can you clean?

A: We can clean all types of vinyl, sealed wood and stone or tile floors, plus synthetic and wool tuft carpets and rugs. Upholstery types include synthetic, mixed fibre and wool fabrics.

Q: I have allergies. Should I be concerned that the chemicals used might affect me?

A: The cleaning solutions that we use are environmentally safe, completely non-toxic and are safe for people with allergies, children and pets.

Q: How often should my carpets or upholstery be cleaned?

A: For people with allergies or breathing-related conditions such as asthma, doctors recommend carpets, upholstery and curtains be professionally cleaned every 3 to 6 months. For general residential carpet based on average use, we suggest cleaning every 12 months.

Q: What is your service coverage area?

A: We cover the whole of Ruislip, Eastcote, Ickenham, Harefield, Hillingdon, Harrow, Northwood, Pinner, Rayners Lane and the surrounding areas within a 10 mile radius.

Please note that although the vast majority of dirt, grime and spills can be removed, there are some stains and marks such as bleach or scorching discolouration and fading due to sunlight which cannot be removed because they have permanently altered the structure of the material.
